南禅寺は、京都市左京区にある臨済宗南禅寺派の大本山で、正式には瑞龍山太平興国南禅禅寺といいます。
 1291年(正応4年、鎌倉時代)亀山上皇の離宮を大明国師(無関普門)に賜り禅林禅寺としたのに始まり、足利義満の時、五山制度の中で五山を超える「五山之上」と言う禅宗寺院最高の寺格を賜り、五山文化の中心に在りました。

Nanzen-ji (Southern Mountain Temple) is considered the most famous and important Zen temple in the world. Home of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism the temple consists of 12 sub-temples, which only a few are open to the public. Also within the temple grounds are several gardens, of which only three are available to be viewed. Two of the sub-temples also serve vegetarian lunches.

La maison de la section de Rinzai de Zen Buddhism le temple se compose de 12 secondaire-temples, qui seulement quelques uns sont ouvertes de public. En outre dans le temple les raisons sont plusieurs jardins, dont seulement trois sont disponibles pour etre regardes. Deux des secondaire-temples servent egalement les dejeuners vegetariens.

Haus des Rinzai Abschnitts von Zen Buddhism der Bugel besteht aus 12 Vor-Bugeln, die nur einige zur Offentlichkeit geoffnet sind. Auch innerhalb des Bugels ist der Boden einige Garten, von denen nur drei vorhanden sind angesehen zu werden. Zwei der Vor-Bugel dienen auch die vegetarischen Mittagessen.

La sede della sezione di Rinzai di Zen Buddhism il tempiale consiste di 12 secondario-tempiali, che soltanto alcune sono aperte al pubblico. Inoltre all'interno del tempiale i motivi sono parecchi giardini, di cui soltanto tre sono a disposizione per essere osservato. Due dei secondario-tempiali inoltre servono i pranzi vegetariani.
